In 2013, Eugen, alongside a few of his closest collaborators, decided to set up Iordache & Associates. He is the founder and managing partner of Iordache & Associates and has more than 20 years of experience in providing both legal counseling and representation to our clients.
His experience ranges from corporate to criminal law, providing legal counseling and representation regularly to both domestic and international companies and individuals, from Romania, Turkey, Iran, Serbia. He has represented his clients in more than 400 criminal cases, including: tax evasion, fraud, organized crime, money laundering and other white collar crimes.
Besides his law career, one of his passions is being actively involved in counseling CEOs in order to develop their business. Therefore, he is directly involved in the development of the Romanian business environment, by being a management and leadership trainer.
He is the engine that drives this law firm, being considered a mentor and a leader, not a traditional manager. His approach, both in business and in life, is unconventional and innovative and his communication skills are one of his most valuable assets. He is continually preoccupied with personal and professional growth. Both our clients and team rely on his advice and his eye for detail.
Apart from the legal field, he carries out several entrepreneurial activities, position that grants him the advantage of knowing, from the inside, the challenges of the business environment.
Representative matters:
- Represented a construction company in front of the courts of law and the Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania in several cases, with total claims in amount of. 40.000.000 Euros;
- Represented a company in buying one of Romania’s biggest coffee distribution businesses , with a transaction value of 300.000 Euros;
- Represented a major retail furniture store in negotiating several lease contracts for showrooms located in different shopping centres throughout Romania – total leased area 23.000 sqm.
- Represented a Romanian retailer in the sale of his business in a transaction of 6.000.000. Euros;
- Represented a company against The National Agency for Fiscal Administration in Romanian Courts – enforced execution – 2.000.000 Euro penalties.
- Represented individuals – gambling industry employees - before the National Anticorruption Directorate in a tax evasion case – damage value : 8.000.000 USD
- Represented an important public official, employed by the Romanian Government, in a criminal case concerning corruption- damages in value of 60.000.000 Euro;
- Represented a Romanian businessman before the National Anticorruption Directorate and Romanian Court in a criminal case based on bank loans - damage – 5.000.000 Euro;
- Represented a Romanian businessman before the National Anticorruption Directorate and Romanian Court in a criminal case based on bank loans - damage request – 2.000.000 Euro;
- Represented Romanian public officials in a criminal case based on an illegal VAT refund for the amount of 1.000.000 USD;
- Represented individuals, employees of a Romanian company in a criminal case regarding tax evasion and money laundering – damage request - 2.000.000 Euros;
